What you will do

You will work directly for the Senior Product Manager and provide support on Connected Services projects. In this role you will contribute to the product roadmaps and be involved in all aspects of the product management of Connected Services.

In addition, you will work with a number of cross functional counterparts to define product requirements and complete the activities outlined by the Product development / New Product Introduction process (Johnson Controls - D3 process).  You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offerings, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

How you will do it

• Support the Senior Product Manager ? Connected Services in all aspects of product management activities with special focus from a North America market view.
• Assist in the management the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to launch activities for the North America region and sales channels
• Provide input on North America market requirements for current and future products by conducting market and competitive analysis reports.
• Ensure all North America related documentation requirements for development process is accurate and complete to be reported internally at monthly project reviews.
• Maintain ERP systems with all information relating to product Price and life cycle data.
• Generate miscellaneous reports and product sales / customer analysis by channel as required

What we are looking for

Required:

• Bachelor?s degree with 5+ years of professional experience; Computer Science or Engineering degree a strong plus.


• 2+ years of experience in product management delivering software, SaaS, Cloud, or mobile services, preferably in IoT applications and solutions.


• Strong experience soliciting Voice of the Customer in order to extract key requirements to serve as the foundation for development of the new product portfolio.


• Strong financial experience, general business acumen and budget management experience.


• This position requires some limited travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Fire Detection, Security or Building controls related markets strong plus


• English speaking and writing a must. Other languages an asset.


• Proficient understanding of MS Excel for data trend analysis activities
