As an Account Executive for The Los Angeles Times you will:
Be responsible to grow revenue in the professional services field.
Development of new clients and growing existing business, emphasizing on digital growth.
Meet with prospective and current clients to close direct sales of products and/or services in order to meet individual/team goals and the organization's business objectives.
Create, and thoroughly monitor and revise a sales pipeline for current and future months.
Including upcoming media & streaming projects 3-6 months in advance and beyond.
Develop creative, strategic and unique solutions that meet and exceed the needs of each client.
Work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
Increase the company’s revenue with new and existing clients by maximizing budget with all LA Times products and develop multi-channel solutions.
Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact for print, digital, events and out of home solutions.
Manages key executive relationships at the networks direct and ad agencies.
Core responsibilities include elite industry expertise, strong presentation & networking skills, strategic and innovative thinking.
Utilize support roles, when necessary, in order to maximize sales time and effort and ensure client has a good experience with program execution.
Effectively manage client media plan with a high level of accuracy.
Actively communicate category opportunities, challenges & plans with Director of Advertising.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years sales experience in the Professional Services industry.
Working knowledge and experience utilizing a CRM and or detailed pipeline and Microsoft Office products to manage day to day activities.
Demonstrated success in meeting revenue goals.
Industry and market knowledge required, print, digital, and mobile platform knowledge and skills.
Industry contacts a must.
Insight into the digital landscape beyond display, understanding and awareness of branded content, audio strategy, programmatic and the forefront of the tech industry.
Excellent analytical, written, oral, communication and presentation skills.
Aggressive mindset that acts with urgency.
Strong financial business acumen skills.
Effective relationship-building skills.
Motivated, persuasive and consultative with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Travel necessary.
Requires a valid driver’s license.
Education
College degree or equivalent Sr. sales experience.
