Responsibilities:

• Prepares regular and special financial reports for management and for regulatory agencies to include the 5300 Call Report and quarterly VISA certification reports




• Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget and completes monthly budget to actual reports with variance analysis




• Updates the Asset/Liability Management model monthly, revises projections and runs various Asset Liability Management reports




• Prepares monthly Allowance for Loan Loss calculation and projections as needed




• Provides product profitability analysis at least annually and updates as needed




• Provides cost analysis, liquidity analysis and exposure analysis as requested and prepares other reports and analysis as requested by management




• Prepares management reports to support product pricing decisions for loans and deposits.




• Researches, evaluates and recommends pricing alternatives for products and services




• Creates and analyzes monthly Branch Profitability reports for management




• Prepares periodic member profitability analysis using the MCIF system




• Assists with external audit schedules

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of financial analysis and accounting experience required.  Financial institution or related financial services environment preferred.


• Aptitude for mathematics and able to analyze, compare and interpret facts and figures quickly and independently.


• Ability to create and analyze complex financial reports using a variety of systems and data sources.


• Ability to identify and provide input on the resolution of data integrity issues.


• General knowledge and understanding of standard accounting principles and practices.


• Thorough knowledge and understanding of statistics as related to financial analysis.


• Significant experience with spreadsheet (MS Excel preferred), database applications and accounting software.


• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


• Knowledge of financial institution products and services and the related accounting processes.


• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers (members), and the general public.


• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.


• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.  Masters degree or MBA preferred.
