Your Focus:
You will be the main point of contact for the assigned BUSINESS UNIT/COE and support the implementation of the Information Security program. You will provide advice and oversight to ensure that Information Security policy is complied with for processes and systems used by Business Unit or COE. You will assist with improving the information security posture with respect to delivering services to customers and consumer with the Business Unit/COE for understanding the key assets and processes, identifying risks and controls, evaluating risk, and suggesting incremental controls or risk mitigation strategies where necessary. You will provide consultative guidance with the goal of ensuring that policies and standards are adhered to and incorporated into the systems and processes utilized. You will work closely with all areas of Global Security and champions security initiatives that support both the Security Program and Business Unit or COE strategies.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain in depth understanding of Business Unit / COE processes, systems, technologies, data, customers, consumers, partners
Act as the primary local security contact / adviser for the SVP/General Manager and their IT, Architecture, Operations, HR, Finance, Legal and other local personnel
Partner with local Compliance, HR, Legal, IT resources to achieve effective working relationships that can further the effectiveness of the Security program
Implement the Information Security Management System across the assigned Business Unit and/or COE as well as BU-specific security initiatives
Communicate, oversee and carryout technical implementations of security solutions required to meet business objectives
Dedicatedly identify nonconformity and areas of potential improvement and facilitate development of pragmatic solutions to address issues, utilizing the security assessments and observations processes
Engage with clients and customers as needed to assist the business to achieve its objectives with pre and post sales activities (e.g. explain our security program, support external audits, support bids/RFP process, assist in customer communication of security incident, etc.)
Participate in BU related conferences, client facing engagement, industry forums to represent the Security program
Provide regular and timely reporting on the status of information security across the BU / COE
Provide workflow path for security issues, incidents and inquiries
Work with Incident Response and Crisis Management teams to effectively incidents to acceptable resolution; assist with investigations as needed
Advise Security Leadership in decision-making for and affecting the assigned BU/COE
Qualifications Needed for Success:
Superb communication/presentation skills
Ability to translate technical/security issues to business users
Ability to independently influence others in order to achieve objectives
Self-motivated, willingness to take on challenges and adaptability to change and manage changing priorities
A solid understanding of security standard methodologies and international standards such as ISO2700 and PCI DSS
Good understanding of technical security controls and secure coding standards
Security Training and Awareness, Security Governance, and Security Incident Management knowledge & experience
Demonstrable experience of driving operational implementation of policies and processes across business units
Knowledge and experience of Information Security Risk and Security governance
Understanding of risks in banking/ financial services sector will be an added advantage
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
3 - 5 years of security experience
Experience working in matrix environment with globally diverse team members
Regularly makes decisions that is guided by policies, procedures and/or guidelines, applies discretion appropriately
Works under general supervision
CISSP, CISM or related certification is a strong plus
