Job Summary

Cognizant is looking for a Senior Sharepoint Developer with six to ten years of experience in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Must have experience with SharePoint On prem (2010/ higher) and SharePoint Online

Proficiency with CSOM, JSOM, Rest API, O365 Power Automate features, SPFX using Angular frame work

 

· Manage and Own the Problem Management Process

· Develop, co-ordinate and promote the effective functioning of problem management activities

· Contribute to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes

 

· Maintain application monitoring, performance tuning and testing

· Provide 3rd line Application Support on complex internally and externally developed applications

· Provide input to administering and maintaining all production and internal environments

· Provide input to the implementation, backup and roll-back plans

 

Expertise in migration and troubleshooting of complex SharePoint On-Premise applications and infrastructure

 

Strong practical knowledge of SharePoint Search Service, User Profile Service and other Service Applications

Strong practical experience in use of Power Shell.

Hands on experience in developing SharePoint provider hosted apps, Custom Web Parts, Custom Timer Jobs, Features, Solution Packages  and out of the box solutions

Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture, SharePoint Tenant administration and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience

Good knowledge of ITIL processes, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management

Problem Management – Reactive/proactive problem management, root cause analysis and periodic trend analysis

End User and technical Support – Provide support, advice and assistance to end users

Work with BA / Architect teams to understand requirements and participate in design for minor enhancements

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and delivery of break / fix solutions for applications

Ability to work intuitively, along or as part of a team environment

 

 

Key Qualifications:

 

SharePoint 2013 and above, SharePoint Online , C#, ASP.Net, Javascript, Jquery, SPFX using Angular frame works

·       Migrating existing SharePoint 2013 sites to SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint online environment.

·       Strong working knowledge of SharePoint Designer to create custom forms, workflows, web parts, and solutions

·       Strong working knowledge with XML, JavaScript, REST, jQuery, and/or AJAX, XSLT

·       Strong working knowledge with Angular

·       Strong working knowledge with different Frameworks like SPFx, ReactJS
