In the role of Engineering Supervisor, you will be supervising approximately 10 engineers and technicians. You will be responsible for managing projects and daily tasks of your personnel and reporting out status updates to the department manager. You will work directly with other cross-functional teams to achieve annual goals and objectives. This role will also require that you monitor and update our Kronos timekeeping system. You will work directly with your employees to set challenging smart goals, perform mid-year evaluations and execute annual review discussions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Responsible for supervising ~10 engineers and technicians, monitoring/updating Kronos timekeeping tool.


  • Supervising engineers and technicians in the failure analysis lab working on projects for process improvements, validation activities, and failure analysis.


  • Supervises and monitors projects and provides updates to management.


  • Works with departmental leadership to develop employee career plans and fiscal year end reviews.


  • Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.


  • May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.


  • Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.


  • Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.


  • Supports the development of new concepts through validation activities.


  • Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.


  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

    BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


    IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME


    Bachelors degree required


    Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience


    NICE TO HAVE:



  • Electrical or Electromechanical degree


  • Performed in an Engineering Supervisor role previously


  • Medical Device experience


  • Equipment validation experience
