As a key member of the Waukesha BU Finance Leadership Team, reporting to the Waukesha BU Director of Accounting, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate financial statements are prepared. This individual will have a desire to identify and implement process improvements and ensure an appropriate control environment is in place. He/she will develop and engage a high performing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation for the US entity
Prepare and performs complex Manual Journal Entries
Reviews Account Reconciliations consistent with INNIO's Account Reconciliation Policy
Enhances existing accounting processes and general accounting activities and is able to interact actively within own team and other related teams to design new work streams
Leads country-specific Balance Sheet reviews with the Director of Accounting
Identifies simplification and automation opportunities and drives process improvements
Ensures an appropriate control environment is in place
Working with IT on system improvements
Monitors records of amounts owed and ensures prompt payment of invoices featuring discounts advantageous to the organization
Oversees the processing and verification of invoices, coding of expenses, preparation of vouchers, and issuance payments
Analyzes the accounts payable register and other related accounting reports and take actions as appropriate
Assist FP&A with monthly reporting and other projects
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
BS in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA preferred
Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting preferably with a multinational, manufacturing company
Strong Oracle experience with advanced skills in Access and Excel; demonstrated experience building databases and analyzing data, creating standard reports
Experiencing building engaged and high performing teams - direct reports, peers, and other team members
Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
