DESCRIPTION

Lecturer: Latin American and Iberian Studies Program

The Program in Latin American and Iberian Studies (LAIS) at UC Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses in the Latin American and Iberian Studies Program for upcoming openings. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department.

At the time of application, applicants must possess at minimum a Doctoral degree in humanities or a social science discipline relating to Latin American Studies or equivalent degree and at least one year of teaching experience. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, and contact information for 3 references. Statement of teaching and teaching evaluations are optional (and will be required for finalists).

The Program is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. The use of a lecturer pool does not guarantee that an open position exists at the time you are applying.
