Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing work, rework and testing and troubleshooting related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final system assemblies.

Responsibilities:

* Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.

* Determines or may assist in developing methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and/or diagrams to control or modify the manufacturing process.

* Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

* May prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

* Execute the production plan through directing a team of production assemblers. Accountable for meeting daily / weekly production output.

* Drive a safety-first culture within the team and lead by example.

* Facilitate training for the production assembly team, provide supervision and guidance to production assemblers as required.

* Communicate progress updates and manage troubleshooting across teams and functional areas.

* Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment & walkways.

* Participate and contribute in continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency.

* Maintain a positive team moral with an open atmosphere of team work and cooperation.

* Be the subject matter expert for assembly processes.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position leading DL employees

* Experience in test process, component evaluation on the electronic and refrigeration assembly Industry is a plus

* Self-Motivated, attention to details, must detect the technical problems

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools

This role sits within Edwards Vacuum, the CTIP Product company in Chelmsford which is part of the newly formed Semi Chamber Solutions Division within Atlas Copco s Vacuum Technique business area.
