This position is located in Burlington, VT.

Clinical Instructor team members assist in ensuring the general health and well-being of our residents by providing clinical supervision and instruction as needed (while training or working on the nursing units).

Clinical Instructor team members assist in ensuring the general health and well-being of our residents by providing clinical supervision and instruction as needed to Nursing Assistant Trainees (while training or working on the nursing units).

Responsibilities

RN Educator Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Unit Managers, Preceptors, Nurse Consultant and assists with annual clinical
skills competencies for nursing staff on an ongoing basis.
- Serves as a resource and mentor for the Preceptors and new nurses / CNA's in the facility,
providing education and support as appropriate during department based orientation.
- Coordinates and/or leads delivery of corporate mandatory inservice education for facility staff
during designated months annually.
- Plans and leads General Orientation Program (with support by other department heads) for all
new personnel to the facility.
- Coordinates program development, implementation and documentation of the Nursing
Assistant Training Program per state guidelines;
- Schedules and delivers CNA and Support Aide orientation programs based on upon hiring.
- Schedules training programs to ensure that Nursing Assistants complete six hours of inservice
education every six months.
- Oversee tracking of inservice education hours and generates reports utilizing Relias LMS.
- Enrolls staff in Relias programs and tracks module completion and compliance.
- Prepares monthly inservice education calendar and monthly report.
- Performs all position duties according to safety rules and standards of practice required for this
position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this
facility.

Qualifications

RN Educator Qualifications:
- State specific license and current registration to practice as a nurse required.
- At least one year nursing experience in a long term health care facility required.
- Thorough familiarity with both the Nursing
- Assistant 100-Hour Training Program and the facility policies and procedures for direct nursing care required.
- Organizational skills and ability to relate well with nursing staff, trainees and other disciplines required.

Elderwood at Burlington is a 150 bed skilled nursing (SNF) and subacute rehabilitation facility located in Burlington, Vermont. We provide Orthopedic Rehab, Speech Therapy and Physical Therapy. We also provide specialty programs including Palliative Care, Respite Care and Wound Care in addition to Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing.
