Our Mechanicsburg factory, built in 1969, is located just eight miles west of Pennsylvania's state capital of Harrisburg. Our Mechanicsburg factory is one of the largest manufacturers in the area and produces a large portion of Nestlé Purina's dry pet food portfolio, including Puppy Chow®, Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Pro Plan®, Alpo®, Kitten Chow®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, Nestlé Purina ONE® and Kit 'N Kaboodle®. As the Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving finished products through the distribution system in our bustling warehouse. Day to day, you can expect to be loading and unloading trailers, pulling finished product from the production line, and case picking while operating a variety of equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, pull packs, and more. Positions available are on Weekend Warrior.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as forklifts and walkies with various attachments (pull-pack, slip sheet, etc.), bailers, compactors, and scrubbers


• Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and all shipping instructions are followed


• Move finished product from the production line and store it in the correct location in the warehouse


• Case pick product following all guidelines using an RF scanner, hand wrap and label products, and stage in the appropriate location


• Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation and cleaning


• Regularly lift items up to 55 pounds

All other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience

• 1+ years of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment required
