Idaho National Laboratory s (INL) Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Operations, Maintenance, Utilities & Infrastructure Support Division is seeking a Manipulator Repair Foreman.

INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for DOE-NE, providing much of the nuclear research, development, and demonstration capability needed to move nuclear innovation forward to deployment. MFC hosts an outstanding combination of personnel, facilities and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel design, development and fabrication through post irradiation analysis.

The Manipulator Repair Foreman provides leadership for the manipulator repair technicians to execute work within nuclear and non-nuclear facilities at MFC. The Foremen is responsible to deliver high quality products and services ensuring facility availability/functionality to meet MFC mission objectives as well as provide descriptive turnover and maintain a daily log. The Foreman will establish and clearly communicate expectations and standards to staff members passionate about effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and improvements for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Provide direction, leadership, coaching, mentoring, supervision and coordination for technicians as they perform preventative, corrective maintenance and modifications within nuclear and non-nuclear facilities

* Ensure maintenance performance is in accordance with all applicable procedures and policies.

* Maintain a high level of knowledge on policies and procedures as they pertain to maintenance activities (DOE orders, company procedures, Environmental procedures, OSHA, etc.). Breakdown barriers for the crafts to ensure work completion within cost, scope, and schedule.

* Establish and maintain standards aligned with the MFC Mission. Ensure maintenance capabilities are accurately aligned (i.e. shops, tooling, equipment, proficiency training) to support current and future activities.

* Actively participate in development of the plan of the week (POW) schedules and prioritize to effectively execute the POW schedules.

* Support and implement INL and MFC Nuclear Safety Principles, Integrated Safety Management System (identify scope, hazard, mitigation, controls, and feedback) Human Performance Tools, and Just Culture Principles.

* Responsible to maintain an understanding of bargaining unit agreements (union contracts)

* Responsible to lead all aspects of human resource management including attracting and hiring employees, providing feedback, and managing performance and providing development opportunities.

* Must be willing and able to work a shift schedule.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Proven leadership and 5 years of experience leading mechanical or electrical technicians.

* Bachelor's degree in a technical mechanical field is preferred.

* Must be a US Citizen and have the ability and willingness to acquire and maintain a DOE "L or Q" clearance.

MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:

* INL Maintenance Job Supervisor/Foreman Qualification Checklist (form 36l.98B)- within 6 months of hire.

* MFC Maintenance Foreman and Lead Qualification Card (6 months)

* Acquire Radiological Worker (I or II) qualification within 45 days of starting work in MFC Maintenance Department

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience leading mechanical technicians in a high production environment.

* Experience working with bargaining unit agreements (union contracts)
