DESCRIPTION:
Lee Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly organized, quick thinking problem solver for their full time 2nd shift Hospitalist Access Specialist position. This position will also handle transportation needs within the hospital Transfer Center. This person will work 3:00pm to 11:30pm. If you have at least one year of customer service experience and thrive in a busy environment we want to interview you!
The Hospitalist Access Center Specialists is often the first point of contact for hospital admissions and hospitalist communication. This role involves taking inbound calls from providers, physician offices, emergency rooms, and hospital staff. The Hospitalist Access Specialist plays a key role in Lee Healths success. This interaction with hospital staff impacts emergency room wait times and provider contact time. Therefore, efficiency, productivity, and superior customer service are essential to success in this job role. Lee Health is committed to delivering the highest quality service with an exceptional customer experience. -Responsible for recording data entry, consolidation, clean-up, and analysis of customer contacts within Lee Health -Collaborate and support interdisciplinary care teams by communicating changes to Hospitalist staffing and sharing daily physician rotation -Efficient communication to over 300 hospitalist providers regarding patient admissions and transfers. The person in this position must be comfortable in a fast pace environment and possess the ability to prioritize, be extremely detailed-oriented, organized, a team player, and flexible. In addition, they will exhibit a strong desire and willingness to learn and grow with the department.
