Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking a self-motivated, Environmental Engineer in our Wexford, PA office to support a growing base of technical projects. This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting and engineering.

This full-time position is expected to support environmental investigation, remediation and permitting projects, and will be working alongside and supporting technical experts and project managers on multiple projects.

What you will do:


  • Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant PMs (APMs) with planning environmental investigation and remediation tasks
  • Exhibiting ownership of delegated tasks, including responsibility for coordination and delivery of on-schedule and on-budget tasks
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Preparing subcontracts and overseeing the work of subcontractors
  • Perform fieldwork which may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, trenching oversight for remedial system installs, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
  • Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remedial system and in-situ technology treatment design and assessments
  • Assisting with writing and preparing technical reports, request for proposals, work plans, letters, and memorandums
  • Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget
  • Management, and establishment of subcontracts
  • This position may require field work up to 50% of the time

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • EIT or PE License
  • OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Operation and maintenance experience on remediation systems
