SUMMARY
* Position Summary
* The MSU Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for exercising independent judgment in assessing the patient, planning the nursing care needed, implementing and directing others in the care to be provided and evaluating the patient's response to care, thereby determining when changes to the plan of care are appropriate. This RN exercises independent judgment in the assignment and direction of RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), and Unit Secretaries. The MSU Charge RN works collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, and Ancillary personnel to assure safe, quality patient care.
