TRIMBLE S AUTONOMY SECTOR
Trimble s Autonomy Sector focuses Trimble s extensive positioning IP and services on solving the positioning challenge faced by autonomous vehicle applications. This Sector includes divisions delivering Trimble s technology portfolio for autonomy applications in the On-Road, Off-Road and Industrial segments.
ON-ROAD DIVISION
The On-Road Division delivers autonomous vehicle positioning solutions to the transportation segment. Trimble has served the automotive positioning market since 1990 and has numerous design wins associated with assisted driving and autonomous vehicle applications. Our customers include both established and emerging vehicle OEMs and their Tier 1 partners developing autonomous vehicle technology.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & STRATEGY
As a key member of the Division s leadership team, this role manages the Division s marketing and strategic planning functions to drive long-term growth and profitability objectives.
* Develops, refines and guides execution of the division s strategic plan collaborating with Division and Sector leadership.
* Analyzes market, competitive and technology trends to set market and product strategy.
* Manages the Division s product management and product marketing functions to execute the strategy.
* Directs the Sector s marketing communication organization to support the Division s marketing plan.
* Represents Trimble, the Autonomy Sector and the Division at transportation industry and regulatory events.
* Collaborates with the Transportation Sector on Trimble s approach to the heavy truck segment.
* Works closely with the General Manager to align objectives across the Division with the strategic plan.
* Represents the Division for M&A activity.
KEY BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
* 15+ years of progressive marketing experience spanning strategy, management, product marketing and product management.
* Transportation industry domain knowledge and experience delivering technology solutions for volume production applications. The On-Road Division delivers hardware, software and services to automotive, heavy truck and mass transit OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers.
* Familiarity with or experience within the autonomous vehicle technology ecosystem.
* A technical background or the aptitude and interest to understand the core technologies and services that Trimble delivers for autonomous vehicle positioning. Prior experience in embedded hardware and software development is a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A naturally collaborative approach to coordinating efforts across the Division and Sector to achieve strategic objectives.
