POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a HR Specialist team member to actively participate in helping us achieve our organizational objectives. The HR Specialist will work in the HR Center of Excellence which provides administrative support to all UT Health East Texas facilities. They will provide detailed data analysis and reporting on multiple functional areas which may include reports related to people processes such as new hires, changes in employee status, grade and base rate changes, department movement, position changes, etc. The HR Specialist is also responsible for helping departments manage data and building reporting capabilities for the Division.

DUTIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

* Ensures new hire paperwork (future digital documents) is completed and enters data into HRIS

* Manages current employee status changes

* Analyzes payroll and employee data; ensures data is entered correctly in Lawson and identifies/corrects inconsistencies

* Works with all areas of HR to standardize workflows, automate processes, improve system performance and gain efficiencies through technology.-kind of but less

* Designs and develops timely and accurate ad-hoc reports with available tools (e.g., Lawson, Crystal Reports, Excel, Access or other tools) using advanced query techniques.

* Verifies license verifications

* Provides analysis and interpretation of data as required. Accurately identifies trends, variances, and key issues through data analysis.

* Ensures the data integrity of HR systems, including but not limited to, interfaces and table maintenance, and executes system quality audit procedures.

* Conduct regular system and data audits, reporting,

* Partner with HR functional areas and Health System entities to review and analyze data

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Information Technology field preferred

or

* High School Diploma and 5+ years previous HR and/or Data Analysis experience required

Experience:

* Five (5) years of professional experience with three (3) years in a systems support role, preferably Lawson

* Advanced Excel (nested formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) experience required

* SQL/PwerBi/Tableau/Lawson experience preferred

* Previous exposure to project-related initiatives

Certification and Licensure:

* Lawson certification
