Job Summary
The Supply Chain Solution Specialist II is responsible for the maintenance, development, improvement and support of the critical systems which drive the supply chain processes. The Supply Chain Specialist II is responsible for all aspects of the management of the system and works closely with the other Supply Chain teams, which utilize the systems, and the IS organization which supports the back end integration and technical aspects behind the solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the systems expert for the Supply Chain solutions including the ERP, eProcurement, Carousel, Point of Use, Sterile Processing system, @chop and peripheral systems.
- Develops requirements and functional design documentation for the implementation of new features
- Creates and Champions system strategies for improvements, upgrades, new systems modules
- Liaise with software suppliers in the support, development and maintenance of solutions
- Coordinates release of new functionality including qualifying and presenting functionality to Supply Chain
- Develops and supports analytics solutions and data integration requirements for Supply Chain systems
- Manages projects related to the rollout of new functionality, system releases, and expansion to new business or process areas
- Maintains systems documentation and related process flows
- Coordinates with the Education Lead to develop and maintain appropriate training materials
- Represents CHOP across hospital / vendor relations pursuant to improved system functionality
- Monitors the system for failures and support solution KPI reporting and progressive improvement
- Establishes a continuous improvement process converting systems issues or business need in to solutions
- Collaborates in the development and maintenance of SOPs for operational areas
- Maintains systems strategic direction and promotes new functionality
- Works with the customer service team on communication and knowledge base
- Provides operational metrics for Supply Chain teams
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field
Required Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the functional management of Supply Chain Systems
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Additional Technical Requirements
- Demonstrates a strong technical aptitude and understanding of Supply Chain systems and processes
- Ability to lead large projects including a diverse set of individuals
- Strong analytical and data skills
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve both technical and process issues
- Excellent written and verbal capabilities
- Strong process knowledge in the areas which the systems support
- Ability to work autonomously and create recommendations for Supply Chain leader related to systems
- Strong project management capabilities
- Knowledge of supply chain systems, such as ERP, point of use, business intelligence required.
- Experience in the maintenance and administration of Software Solutions in desirable. Specific knowledge and experience with Coupa, WorkDay or Qlikview highly preferred
- Ability to document business requirements and business processes effectively
- Ability to translate business requirement into technology solutions, with support from IT as needed
- Experience in Data Analytics Techniques and Reporting Languages, such as SQL, preferred.
