The Role
The Cloud Services Engineer is a vital role that will provide Disaster Recovery as a Service and Professional Services to our customers.

Specific Objectives and Responsibilities


Your First Six Months:
- Build relationships with colleagues across the entire organization
- Learn the workflows for each Carbonite product and its associated workflow
- Understand the function and workflows for the Professional Services Team
- Join the team on-call rotation
- Assist team members with projects and day-to-day activities
- Learn the ticketing system and process flow
- Ensure that all open tickets are appropriately updated within established time frames

Six to Twelve Months and Beyond:
- Participate in Change and Release Management activities
- Identifying, escalating priority issues and reporting to management
- Produce standard documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), System Design Procedures (SDP)

Key Challenges to Overcome


The Cloud Services Engineer will be presented with a broad experience with multiple products that Professional Services supports. This is a vital role to the success of Professional Services and will include working with stakeholders across the company.

Skills & Experience:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work independently
- Extremely organized with the ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Bachelor's degree, with a technical major, such as information systems, engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years System administration experience - Windows, Linux, Active Directory
- VCenter administration experience
- Basic networking experience - understanding of the OSI model
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active Directory admin experience
- Backup and recovery experience are a plus
