Position Overview:

The idea of surgicalrobotics was little more than a curiosity until 1999, the year IntuitiveSurgical introduced the da Vinci ® Surgical System. Today,Intuitive Surgical is the global leader in the rapidly emerging field ofrobotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery.

We are looking for atalented individual to join our growing Global Enterprise Analytics team andhelp provide Insights thought leadership across everything we do. Analytics are permeating the ISI products thedata to support them needs to be managed and monitored. You will be expected to solve the complex andpressing data and data integration problems for the company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The informationmanagement architect develops the annual information management servicesstrategy and owns the foundational work that guarantees data and informationhealth. The role is responsible for leading analytics governance conversationswith data stewards and business partners. The role works with enterprise anddigital architects, technology vendors, business partners, and external serviceproviders to ensure that new capabilities comply with the information needs ofthe business.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Understands the decision-making process, workflows, and business and information needs of our HR analytic teams.

  • Articulates HR business needs and related HR KPIs to the technical team and strives for efficient technical implementation.

  • Ensures data security for all HR data, coming from reports and datasets in alignment to organizational security standards.

  • Collaborates with architects and engineering leads to design data standards and architectures that support the organization's business processes and comply with regulatory standards.

  • Helps develops and promote the HR Analytics strategy as a coherent part of the Enterprise Analytics strategy.

  • Recommends reporting solutions that address ongoing reporting needs by taking into account evolving HR data models.

  • Guides architecture design review process to drive ongoing improvement efforts.

  • Coordinates with the Business Analysts to understand their information needs and identifies ways to visualize and present information in a user-friendly manner

  • Proactively mines data warehouse to identify trends and patterns and generates insights for business units and senior leadership.

  • Leads the design and implementation of a scalable and high performing HR architecture that takes into account data and data types from core HR, applicant tracking, performance reviews, compensation and surveys

  • Develops frameworks and processes to analyze unstructured information collected through our sentiment surveys.

  • Supports analysts and UI engineers to enhance information visualization through development of dashboards and user interfaces.

  • Works closely with HR partners, architects, and business analysts for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training.

  • Drive standardization of key metrics across various business stakeholders to improve data governance maturity.

  • Continually recommend, develop, and implement process improvements and tools to collect and analyze data, and visualize/present insights.

Skill/Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business,Economics, Statistics or related area. MBA a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years Analytics / BusinessIntelligence / Data Warehouse implementation experience.

  • Experience in HR analytics, IT HR Systems like Taleo and HCM.

  • Strong HR domain knowledge, combined with the ability tocommunicate advanced analysis to an executive audience.

  • Experience drawing insights fromstructured and unstructured information like HR surveys.

  • Proven competency in dashboarddesign and information visualization techniques.

  • Ability to challenge and convincethe various stakeholders involved in any project initiative or effort.

  • Strong analytical and projectmanagement skills required (agile projects), including a thorough understandingof how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technicalsolutions.

  • Strong statistical skills and theability to translate these skill into SQL, R or Python.

  • Ability to explain technicalconcepts to non-technical associates and vice-versa.

  • Strong sense of customer service forinternal customers.

  • Medical robotics has uniquecharacteristics that will require immersion in clinical and technical trainingand he or she must come up to speed quickly- an interest and desire to learnare critical.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
