The Maintenance Supervisor has leadership/oversight responsibilities for the Maintenance execution team. Responsible for ensuring the maintenance team members act correctly to achieve the business aims by following the plant maintenance strategy and executing against the planning and scheduling workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive safe and environmentally responsible work behaviors within the maintenance team.
- Direct the maintenance team members' work activities in the day-to-day maintenance activities to assure the proper and efficient maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
- Keeper of work quality standards. Provide no doubt to team members what maintenance excellence looks like.
- Ensure that each day's planned maintenance work runs to schedule. If the schedule is interrupted, adjust actions to address unplanned work and work towards the planned work.
- Ensure at the end of each day, the plan and schedule for the next day are reviewed and finalized, and preparations for tomorrow are completed and made ready.
- Act as the point person for their respective team members concerning safety, environmental, work quality, SAP, etc.
- Functions as the liaison from Maintenance to Production on unplanned work.
- Willingly provides current, effective, and meaningful training to team members and/or system operators.
- Facilitates daily maintenance team meetings.
- Use the work order systems and processes (e.g. SAP) to provide feedback and updates.
- Communicates and orders parts through the Maintenance Planner and/or Performance Leader.
- Maintains a record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the Plant as well as prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Works with Gatekeeper/ Production Coordinator and Maintenance Scheduler to integrate production plan with the maintenance plan.
- Evaluates the performance of his/her subordinates and ensures that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the work procedures.
- Is \\"on call\\" as required for plant emergencies and operational needs.
- Provides reports to management for maintenance activities as necessary.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Excellent safety record with a demonstrated ability to approach safety issues proactively.
- High School Diploma or GED and Postsecondary trade school or technical college education - Active Master Electrician license is a plus.

- Excellent attendance and performance record.
- Excellent mechanical, electrical, and spatial aptitude with the ability to learn and apply root cause analysis and lean & six sigma methodologies within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
