Job Description:

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is currently seeking an Inside Sales Manager to join our team in Memphis, TN. The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for the staffing, development, and performance of the project managers in the bid value stream. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing standards and procedures while continuously improving processes, and delivering a quality product to bid/alliance customers. The Inside Sales Manager will work closely with the Value Stream Manager, Market Development Managers, and V.P. of Sales & Marketing to develop winning strategies to capture and enhance Meyer’s market share.


What you’ll do:


• Manage and lead inside sales personnel and activities fostering a proactive, customer-centric, transparent and progressive work environment
• Lead training, implementation and continuous process improvement of inside sales team ensuring resources are aligned to maximize results
• Lead efforts to drive out cost for bid specific opportunities and cost standards to make more competitive in bid market
• Generate sales by supporting customer inquiries of new and existing products
• Review and approve bid margins as assigned by Value Stream Manager
• Develop team schedules and manage on a daily basis using Visual Management capabilities which includes the status of work across projects being worked by the Value Stream team.
• Work in a coordinated support role with the sales force to win target customers and applications
• Actively promote positive interactions with key internal stakeholders
• Develop metrics to track effectiveness of programs and eliminate waste
• Support new and existing customers with current and up to date product technical information
• Maintain communication with client managers on customer calls, customer orders and customer support
• Review and approve bid margins as assigned by Value Stream Manager
• Abide by company safety standards at all times
• Additional duties as assigned by the Value Stream Manager


What you’ll need:


• 5-7+ years’ experience in Technical Sales/Customer Service with Industrial Products
• Minimum of 2 years of direct report management experience, with proven leadership abilities
• Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills
• Intermediate level of understanding of legal terms and language pertaining to supply contracts
• Intermediate knowledge of commodities markets and how they pertain to pricing and supply contracts
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Civil engineering, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Engineering & Management; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree
