Position Title: Portfolio Servicing Specialist 2
Business Unit: Retail Lending
Reports to: Manager of Retail Loan Servicing

Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for monitoring existing small business portfolio on loans under $500M in aggregate exposure including making or recommending loan decisions on modification requests and other amendments using PayNet reporting to aid in this monitoring process. The incumbent provides overall customer service to the branches, requires customer contact with challenging discussions at times when dealing with minor delinquency issues/repayment capacity and finding solutions with customers to avoid losses to the Bank.

Primary Responsibilities:
Uses PayNet to aid in predicting potential losses to the Bank prior to a loss occurring. Has customer contact and reacts quickly and makes decisions on whether the Bank needs an exit strategy or some type of restructure done to keep the Bank from sustaining a loss (prior to Special Lending). If not within lending authority, makes a recommendation to a higher level of loan authority.
Has the ability to determine signs of financial stress. Understands the policies/procedures in determining if a modification of loan terms or an exit strategy is the best solution and is able to communicate that solution to the borrower within lending authority to make these decisions or make recommendations to a higher level of loan authority.
Provides occasional backup for central underwriting on new loan requests due to increased volume and priority loans.
Reviews requests from the field to determine if that modification is within the Bank's guidelines and makes a decision based upon the credit worthiness including the relationship, credit history and value of collateral remaining on the existing loan within lending authority to make these decisions or make recommendations to a higher level of loan authority.
Recommends and aids branch personnel on how to best handle loan modification requests regarding structure for the modification within the Bank's set policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
