Role and Responsibilities

Summary
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will implement, improve and maintain the CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications to cloud environments on multiple networks, both classified and unclassified. You will work closely with the development and software security teams to ensure the delivery of secure high quality applications.

- Provide technical leadership and direction in the DevSecOps domain
- Integrates DevSecOps tools as part of an agile team to achieve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) applications.
- Design and implement secure CI/CD solutions for development and production environments
- Support multiple agile teams across various platforms, environments, and instances
- Incorporate best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
- Implement security best practices and configuration management
- Increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalability
- Perform technology watch related to industry trends, best practices, and competition.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior level engineers
- Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels
- Must be self motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision
- Support business development team in the production of winning proposals
- Must be able to perform effectively as part of the project "team".
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- B S degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology related field
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
- 10 years of experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration technologies including Gitlab (and Gitlab Runners), Jenkins, Concourse, CircleCI, etc.
- 5 years of experience working with Cloud Providers such as AWS or Azure.
- 2 plus years of experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis, etc.
- 3+ years of experience building a CI/CD pipeline on a cloud provider platform
- 3+ years of experience configuring, integrating, and securing multiple AWS services to deliver sustainable functionality
- 3+ years of experience with configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, and cloud services open-source technologies
- Experience with common DevOps related tools, such as:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Jenkins
- Artifactory
- GitHub
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Experience with common programming and scripting languages, such as C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
- Possess effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
- 3+ years of experience with configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, and cloud services open-source technologies
- Experience with leading and mentoring other DevOps engineers
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Currently possess DoD 8570-M Certification(s) (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with distributed systems, multi-tenant systems, network protocols, network security, SSL, PKIX, routing, and load balancing
- Experience with OS security involving Active Directory, Windows networking, Group policies, DNS, PKI and Certificates, LDAP, and NACL
- Knowledge of Web services environments, languages, and formats, including RESTful APIs, HTML, JavaScript, XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON
- Experience configuring an Elasticsearch cluster and managing index lifecycle
- Exposure to security scanning tools, configuring their use and working with teams to fix vulnerabilities
- Experience with establishing, deploying, administering, and monitoring application environments in an AWS GovCloud environment or Azure Government
- Knowledge of Java
- MS degree

Security Responsibilities
Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment
- Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
- Must be able to work overtime, on and off-shifts as required.

- Employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers or other standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground)
