Job Description:

Position Summary:
We are looking for experienced software engineers to join our team of infrastructure operations and automation development specialists. The primary purpose of this team is to implement platform automation tooling; develop and maintain SDLC patterns and best practices; and to provide performance, security, and resilience support in service of the product application teams. We work closely with the application development and support teams to design and provision resilient architecture; and to track, analyze, and optimize production infrastructure.

Primary Accountabilities: 

Technical (100%)


  • Problem Solving in its many forms, from epic to the mundane.



  • Infrastructure Stewardship



    • Reduce complexity wherever possible - Automate the handling of it everywhere else.


    • Develop Tools and Automation Software


    • Improve System Observability


    • Design and Document Cloud Architecture Solutions


    • Perform Infrastructure Analysis, Anomaly Detection

    • On-call Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ Years of experience with systems engineering and DevOps


  • 5+ Years of Software Application Development Experience


  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.


  • Practiced in Predictive Reasoning about Complex and Distributed Systems.


  • Polyglot philosophy. Ability to code in various languages.


  • Experience in SDLC Automation.


  • Experience Configuring and Managing Infrastructure Components


  • Experience with AWS/Cloud Services and Architecture Patterns


  • Experience with Systems Analysis and Triage


  • Experience with Networking and Security Concepts



  • Required Technology Experience



    • Cloud Platforms Experience: AWS, GCP


    • Modern Languages: eg. Python, Ruby, Bash, Rust, C, Go


    • Linux  Administration


    • Source Code Management with Git


    • CI/CD Concepts: eg. Github Actions, Jenkins etc.


    • Docker/Container Build Lifecycle


    • Container Orchestration in Kubernetes: EKS, GKE


    • Infrastructure as Code: eg. Cloudformation, Terraform etc.


    • Relational Database experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar


    • Non-relational Database experience: Redis, Dynamo, MongoDB or similar





  • Preferred Technology Domain Experience



    • Automation frameworks: Chef, Ansible, etc.


    • RESTful API Design


    • Kafka / Pulsar / Kinesis / Pub Sub


    • Event Driven Architecture


    • Encryption Concepts
