As the Post Surgical Nursing Manager, this individual will work closely with a team of specialists, responsible for overseeing a 30+ bed inpatient unit composed of patients recovering from bariatric and weight-loss surgery. This Post Surgical Nursing Manager will join a team and cross collaborate with a team of dedicated individuals, including bariatric and weight loss surgeons, physicians, nurse supervisors, nursing educators, staff nurses, technicians, dietitian, psychologists, and non-clinical personnel. The Post Surgical Nursing Manager will be accountable for administrative responsibilities including unit work flow, staff hiring, scheduling, conflict resolution, and evaluations, implementing quality performance improvement initiatives, updating policy procedures, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, preparing accreditation and survey material, and overseeing the department budget. Additionally, this Post Surgical Nursing Manager is a resource to their team, knowledgeable on best-practices, latest technology and techniques and leading by example as needed. 

Ideally, this Post Surgical Nursing Manager will have previous clinical experience working in an inpatient setting over a post surgical, medical surgical, or bariatric unit. This individual will also have previous leadership experience, excited to lead, motivate, and support a team of diverse, innovative individuals. The Post Surgical Nursing Manager has graduated from a NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, holds an active RN license, and either has or is willing to obtain their Master’s degree.
