BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER    

JOB TITLE:   Business Unit Manager   

DUTIES:         Develop, implement, and manage programs, projects, and processes for assigned automotive customer accounts. Manage electronic, electro-mechanical, and optical manufacturing programs, including overseeing design related customer objectives. Develop and sponsor tactics to achieve global strategic objectives across multi-national teams.  Responsible for establishing customer goals and objectives to the various Jabil manufacturing and design sites.  Lead the direction of the business team at each Jabil manufacturing location. Responsible for customer’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statement for manufacturing and design related activities. Responsible for establishing and approving pricing. Responsible for the continuous improvement of customer relationship performance metrics and customer satisfaction. Responsible for tactical execution of established contract terms. Manage and drive the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with assigned customer accounts. Responsible for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for both assigned customers and new customer opportunities. Responsible for reading technical customer specifications and translating those requirements into RFP and establishing the RFP scope with the Jabil design site(s).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:         Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or in a closely related or equivalent field, or foreign equivalent. 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations or business management. Experience to include: 2 years of experience in optical manufacturing; 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing supporting Automotive customers; 2 years of experience in profit and loss (P&L) management; and, 2 years of experience managing requests for quotation (RFQ) which are inclusive of electronics manufacturing and design services in optical or electronics manufacturing. 

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, the employer will accept the following: Master’s degree in Business or Engineering, or in a closely related or equivalent field, or foreign equivalent. 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations or business management. Experience to include: 1 year of experience in optical manufacturing; 1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing supporting Automotive customers; 1 year of experience in profit and loss (P&L) management; and, 1 year of experience managing requests for quotation (RFQ) which are inclusive of electronics manufacturing and design services in optical or electronics manufacturing.
