Responsibilities

Venice Family
Clinic is a community health center whose mission is “To provide quality
primary health care to people in need.”  Venice Family Clinic cares for
over 28,000 low-income patients in over 120,000 visits annually who might
otherwise go without critically needed health care services. Venice Family
Clinic has eleven clinical sites with over 350 staff, 1,700 volunteers, and a
budget of $50 million.   We provide high quality, comprehensive
primary and specialty health care, dental, mental health, substance use
treatment and child development services to underserved individuals and
families on the Westside of Los Angeles.  As part of our affiliation with
the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Venice Family Clinic is involved
in the training of residents and fellows in primary care and many
specialties.  Venice Family Clinic also trains residents through
partnerships with Kaiser Permanente and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

In this role you will have overall
responsibility for the early childhood education and comprehensive services
program requirement. This included developing the curriculum, providing the
education resources for staff, parents and children.You will also have technical and administrative supervision over the assigned staff.

Qualifications


  • A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education,
    special education or a related field strongly preferred

  • Three years planning and teaching
    children, preferably low-income, disabled or disadvantaged children and their
    families.  

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Knowledge in Child Plus Data Base

  • Proven knowledge of Early Childhood Education 

  • Proven ability to work well with staff, children,
    parents and other agencies 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of program planning

  • Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory techniques

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic fiscal
    accountability 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of California Employment Law

  • Ability to  communicate
    respectfully and effectively with Parents, Board Members, Policy Council
    Members, School District personnel and relevant community partners
