JOB SUMMARY:
 

Responsible
for designing, developing, implementing and analyzing technical products and
systems; performing engineering design evaluation; recommending alterations of
development and design to improve quality of systems and/or procedures. The
position will require advanced technical skills in addition to the ability to
interpret and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, support of the server and
desktop environment; administration and troubleshooting of all hardware and
supporting operating systems; support, administration, and maintenance of the
Microsoft Windows directory services infrastructure including Messaging, Group
Policy, DNS, DHCP; support of Citrix environment including Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix Store Front, and Citrix
Netscalers; support of VMware products including vCenter, ESXi,
vSphere.

 

Participates
in the implementation of new platform and application technologies in
accordance with established project management methodologies.  Will perform Level 2 support escalation as
needed for all enterprise applications and establish system changes or
procedures to prevent further problems. Supports Disaster Recovery/Business
Continuity testing and participates as required in the Computer Incident
Response Team.  Communicates timely
system services status, provides quality documentation and generates any other
reports requested or required by the VP – Information Technology.   Attends daily/weekly meetings and interacts
regularly with management and peers to constantly improve the system
infrastructure. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies
and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the
company operates.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 


  1. Designs, architects, installs and supports storage
    solutions across the BoC IT environment. Identifies and remediates issues
    associated to the storage environments in both physical and virtual
    (including VMWare ESX).

  2. Integrates storage systems with Windows, networking,
    and physical and virtual environments.

  3. Installs, configures, and maintains Windows operating
    systems and functions as the technical expert for Active Directory.

  4. Writes enterprise level standards, processes and
    procedures, engineering/architectural detailed designs, as-built server
    documents, run guides, and communications to management and users
    regarding planned and unplanned outages.

  5. Maintain and administer servers/application messaging
    environment, including server hardware, systems software, applications
    software, O365, Active directory.

  6. Support all infrastructure supported by the Access
    Team. This includes but is not limited to: Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix
    Store Front, and Citrix Netscalers.

  7. Design, install, and administer VMware products
    including vCenter, ESXi, vSphere.

  8. Supports in administration of the data storage
    environment, including any storage any networking and archiving systems.

  9. Performs the operational tasks to support the daily
    process cycles.

  10. Administration of the operations reporting
    infrastructure including the creation and maintenance of ad hoc reporting.

  11. Provides training guidance on application use and
    connectivity.

  12. Provides guidance of development specifications based
    on input from business stakeholders.

  13. Helps, establishes and controls quality and quantity
    standards, procedures and guidelines for design, development, testing,
    implementation and maintenance of enterprise solutions.

  14. Helps monitor and maintain equipment to insure
    non-interruption of service. Escalates any performance issues to the VP
    Information Technology.

  15. Liaison with other departments and organizations. This
    would include issues involving proper system use, special requirements,
    and/or training needs.

  16. Treats

    understanding of storage administration, performance monitoring, capacity
    management, and use of third party services and appliances.

    understanding of desktop applications and tools such as anti-virus, maintenance
    and performance monitoring.

    of archiving/back-up systems, procedures and methodologies.

    apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train
    personnel, read, analyze and interpret documents and professional journals,
    understand procedures, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak
    clearly to customers and employees.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
 

  • Bachelor’s
    Degree preferred. 

  • 5+
    years of experience performing Senior level daily administration
    responsibilities in Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, in implementation and
    administration of Citrix Products including Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix Store
    Front, and Citrix Netscalers, in VMware products including vCenter, ESXi,
    vSphere and knowledge of Windows/Networking technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS,
    etc.)
