Position Overview

As a Quality Manager 2, you will be responsible for successful development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan and procedures.

Responsibilities

This is a shop or field position. The Quality Manager 2 is a member of the project management team able to work with minimal district or corporate supervision and takes the lead role in managing project quality. This position provides primary technical support to all team members and field personnel. This position manages the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan aligned with corporate quality standards and implements processes to prevent quality issues. This position requires the incumbent to develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to quality assurance and quality control.

Qualifications

The Quality Manager 2 must be a self-starter with organizational, managerial and leadership skills. Must have a four-year engineering, science or technical college degree plus five years of experience in a related construction field (at least two of these years in a Quality position); or an associate degree in engineering technology or science plus eight years of experience in a related construction field (at least three of these years in a Quality position); or a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus ten years of experience in a related construction field (at least four of these years in a Quality position). Must have broad working knowledge of all trades, disciplines and associated special processes, inspection and testing techniques. Must have working knowledge of construction industry codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements (ASSHTO, ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.) associated with the work. Certifications from AWS, API, ACI, ICBO, ASNT, NACE, etc. are advantageous.
