General Summary of Purpose:
Develop business intelligence in support of corporate initiatives for use by Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, and Executive teams. Solicit, interpret, document, test, and analyze business requirements and transform those into technical requirements. Develop data structures, flows, reporting and analytics to answer business questions. Analyze results and communicate recommendations to guide business decisions in support of strategic goals.
Essential Functions:
Document business requirements and convert these requirements into functional/technical specifications for the development of new reporting solutions within the Business Intelligence applications
Write complex SQL queries to access data in the EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) for report development
Design data visualizations and infographics in Tableau to create insights into business trends and guide actionable business decisions
Monitor website and digital marketing performance utilizing digital analytics software, vendor UIs, and the EDW
Create P&Ls, standard reports, and ad hoc analysis that intersects with multiple areas of the business including e-commerce and catalog marketing channels, website metrics, customer attributes, and merchandise categories
Interpret results and advise business teams, sharing insights into data based on the analysis produced
Develop a deep understanding of the EDW environment including structure, data flows, and internal business rules that transform data
Maintain detailed documentation on processes and procedures
Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Advanced ability in SQL coding
Experience utilizing data visualization tools
Highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
Well-rounded experience with data warehouse and relational database concepts and structures

Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of problem solving and analytical skills
Strong focus on work ethics, sense of urgency, quality, thoroughness, accuracy, attention to detail and timeline commitments
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, MIS or related field with emphasis in quantitative analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree preferred
Minimum of two years database reporting and analysis, preferably with a multi-million customer database
Minimum of two years experience using SQL and enterprise reporting tools (Tableau, Crystal, Business Objects, etc.)
Experience with digital analytics software such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or Acoustic Analytics (formerly IBM/Coremetrics) is highly desirable
