Job Description:

Position: Medical Billing Specialist (40 hours per week)

Function: Support medical billing companies vision and mission; maintain confidentiality of all work information; demonstrate an ability to function successfully in a team environment

Job duties:

Prepare and submit claims

Account payment posting

Identify and resolve claim denial issues

Prepare and review statements Etc.

Support medical billing companies vision and mission; maintain confidentiality of all work information; demonstrate an ability to function successfully in a team environment

Requirements:

-Knowledge of Insurance and reimbursement process

-Understanding the entire life cycle of a claim

-Experience working with all payer types to include Medicare, Medicaid, and third party commercial insurance

companies are a plus

- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements for patient information. Maintains and protects confidential information.

-Excellent communication skills both oral and written

-Strong organization skills, the ability to organize and prioritize workload

-Follow Policy and Procedures

-Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations

-Works well independently as well as in a team environment

Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Navigating Windows and the Internet
- Must be comfortable with computers and eager to learn
