Engineering Intern - Radio Frequency Ablation at Arthrex, Inc. in Naples, Florida

Job Description:

Please note, this position is located in Naples, FL and is eligible for limited benefits. The ideal candidate will be available to start in January 2021.

Main Objective:

Support early product development research and testing to create concrete design inputs for product development team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support design engineering team to work through conceptual prototypes and rapid turn development.


• Compare variations in probe ablation performance against existing legacy design using defined test methods.


• Support engineering staff in developing design inputs and metrics to reduce unwanted tissue damage for specific pathology within shoulder joint space.

  Collaborate with product management to define key metrics with leading Key Opinion Leader (KOL) surgeons.

  Integrate user needs to generate high level Design inputs for Phase 0 design.

  
  


• 
  

  Support design engineers on preliminary aspiration and clogging performance of new designs.

Education and Experience:

• Progress towards a college degree with a major in Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering required.


• Electromechanical device experience a plus.


• Statistical analysis experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
