Job Description:

Business Banking (BB) is a part of Consumer and Business Banking (CBB) and is one of the industry leading providers of deposit, lending and cash management products and services to the small business segment. The BB Sales Finance team reports to the BB CFO and supports the BB National Sales organization to drive productivity and profitability through strategic and analytical support and reporting.

Objectives of the BB Sales Finance team are generally categorized into:


  • Planning & Reporting - Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, explain results and variances, track against targets and ensure profitability goals are achieved, support broader BB finance team and CFO
  • Business Support - Support National Sales executive leadership team with internal presentations and business reviews, ad-hoc business projects / requests
  • Strategic Analytics and Projects - Drive critical financial analytics to provide insights for management decision making and business cases, partner with other finance and functional teams to lead and / or support strategic business projects to help achieve business goals and drive market leadership

Responsibilities of the candidate will include:


  • End to end ownership of National Reporting processes including Executive Management Reports and manager scorecards
  • Lead team efforts on dashboard reporting design and delivery (i.e. Tableau); help support firmwide data / reporting automation efforts
  • Analyze financial results, provide variance analysis, oversee preparation / coordination of presentations for management meetings and LOB business reviews
  • Deliver other statistical and field productivity data to support profitability decisions and strategic initiatives
  • Interface with Divisional Finance Managers to share National insights and provide guidance on how to leverage supporting detail to drive additional analysis at the Division level
  • Manage a team of 3-4 local and global resources

Qualifications


  • 7+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or a subject of a technical nature
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts
  • Strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based approach
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Essbase, and Retail Banking Financial Systems
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, Tableau experience a plus
  • Expertise with large data sets and the ability to present conclusions concisely; experience in process automation
  • Professional maturity and personal integrity, ability to build relationships and partner with a seasoned team to drive results
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
  • Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and provide strong documentation
  • Strong communication, organizational and judgement skills
  • Positive attitude / teachable / coachable
