Java / Spark - Software Engineer Lead at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. in Columbus, Ohio

Job Description:

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages; Java, Spark are must have; 5+ years experience required.
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
• Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data processing systems (batch and/or streaming) to drive and improve the product experience
• Build scalable Spark data pipelines leveraging scheduler/executor framework
• 5+ years with core Java and J2EE; Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring Security and Spring Integration
• Angular js UI Framework with cloud based inter pool and intra pool resiliency
• Design our data models for optimal storage and retrieval and to meet critical product and business requirements
• Understand and influence logging to support our data flow, architecting logging best practices where needed
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets in big data clusters to identify gaps and inconsistencies, provide data insights, and advance effective product solutions
