• JOB SUMMARY
  
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living when delegated by RN. Obtains vital signs on patients and reports to assigned nurse. Keeps the nurse up-to-date on any changes in patient information. Exhibits exceptional patient experience by upholding Beacon values of respect, trust integrity and compassion and displaying relationship based care.

  • Education and Experience
    
    • The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or Equivalent. EMT certified (First Response, Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic), Certified Nursing Assistant or currently enrolled in a School of Nursing preferred. Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/CPR) within 3 months of hire and maintain current certification. Experience in the Emergency Department or other related healthcare experience preferred.

  • Physical Demands
    
    • Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
