The four primary areas of opportunity are working on Software Development, Firmware, Software Verification/Test, Firmware Verification/Test. You will use software engineering tools and methods to define requirements and then design, verify, and implement a product. Some software applications are used by physicians in the course of diagnosing or treating patients; other products allow for the analysis of data gathered during pre-clinical or clinical trials. Under the direction of a more experienced engineer, you will prepare plans for your own work, participate in technical reviews, implement advances in current state-of-the-art technology and identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement. You will test for product integration and verification, conducting those tests based on design specifications, and will prepare formal documentation.

Minimum Requirements (Must Haves):

  • Working toward a MS in Computer or Software Engineering or Computer Science, or related engineering degree
  • To be considered for a MS Level internship, candidates must have graduate school courses completed
  • Minimum of a 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA required.
  • Able to participate full time for 11-12 weeks between: June 7, 2021 - August 20, 2021
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is required: C, C++, C#/.NET, Java, Web Technologies, design patterns, Database technologies, XML, Perl, Python, MatLab.
  • Prior work on projects in a team environment preferred.
  • Relevant academic projects, internship or lab experience preferred.
  • BioMed knowledge a plus but not required.
