Project Civil Engineer - Highlands Ranch, CO at Arcadis U.S.Inc. in Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of mining projects in our Highlands Ranch, CO office and around the country. The successful candidate will have industry understanding of the mining business with a strong background in safety and quality initiatives.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and construction drawings and specifications for water treatment facilities, industrial sites, and land development projects
• Develop grading and drainage plans; surface water and waste management facilities including collection, conveyance, storage, and containment; and site layouts
• Model earthwork and stormwater runoff
• Implement quality control procedures during construction
• Provide services during construction
• Assist with construction cost estimate preparation
• Perform infrastructure assessments/inspections and prepare reports
• Ensuring that QA/QC procedures are implemented within design teams

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated, exhibit independent thinking skills, and be able to work successfully in a team setting as well as independently. This position encompasses both office work (technical design, task management, data analysis, and report preparation) as well as field work. Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 5 years of experience in consulting and/or mining industry
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER refresher

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSHA
• Experience developing grading plans and site layouts
• Experience with earthwork and stormwater modeling software
• Experience developing SPCC and SWPP plans and/or performing inspections
• Experience with linear projects

Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.

The Salary range for this role is $77,792 - $120,640 (of our internal ranges) for Colorado based positions only. Other locations will vary in salary range.
