Role Summary

The Enterprise Data Strategy team within Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) is built to help Cigna drive the improvement in the accessibility and quality of our data assets and tools, and allow us to deliver data solutions faster than we do today. Our ultimate goal is to ensure Cigna’s ability to grow is unconstrained by any limitations of our data. The Cigna Enterprise Data Strategy team is comprised of business and technical teams spanning foundational enterprise data teams as well as Data Domains (Customer, Provider, Buyer, and Intermediary).

The Data Management Efficiency & Automation Business Project Advisor is a business-facing role that requires a candidate with strong background in building data technology products.  As a key member driving forward our goals of gaining efficiency through automation, you will ensure Health Interoperability Program business requirements are captured and prioritized in partnership with our Enterprise Capabilities team. Central to the role ensuring successful implementation of tools in coordination with our IT team, Enterprise Capabilities team, and user groups. You will also be responsible for the creation of training processes and documentation of standards of procedure to ensure operational readiness.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise data management tool implementations.  This role requires significant leadership across teams and therefore necessitates strong communication skills, outstanding organization skills, and effective collaboration.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Responsibilities


  • Under the direction of the Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS) - Health Interoperability (HI2) Sr. Program Manager, take ownership of the successful implementation and adoption of data management tools in support of Health Interoperability Program needs.


  • Take ownership of successful delivery of business requirements through active participation in program increment planning, roadmap activities, program prioritization and sequencing activities


  • Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and engagement with stakeholders


  • Work with the EDS Agile Portfolio Operations team to monitor resource capabilities and adjust resources


  • Develop training and lead education of user community


  • Facilitate and guide the development of metrics, structure of studies, benchmark initiatives, and data collection methodologies in support of business requirements


  • Provide feedback and regular status deposits to leadership team, holding teams accountable for timelines


  • Communicate risks and dependencies to EDS-HI2 Program Lead


Qualifications


  • 5+ years’ experience in a project manager, or comparable type of role


  • 3+ years’ experience with data management, data governance and/or data quality in a data management organization; healthcare industry experience is a plus


  • 3+ years’ experience with data management tools; experience with tool implementation strongly preferred


  • Product Owner experience in a data management organization a plus


  • Excellent ability to develop and build teams by assessing quality talent and motivating/inspiring others


  • Sound understanding of Agile Methodology and other project management methodologies


  • Previous experience with agile management tools


  • Demonstrated core project management skills including project planning, scope management, issue and risk management, resource planning, financial management, etc.


This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
