SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Director of Professional Billing is responsible for managing all professional claim activity for Cooper s employed medical practice group. This individual leads the back office functions focused on claim scrubbing (billing), A/R follow-up, Cash posting, and other business office functions. In collaboration with service line, compliance, and CDI leadership, manages the professional coding performance of contracted vendors and assists in coding education to the ambulatory team(s). Cooper s employed medical practice consists of approximately 700 providers across many specialties.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Days / Hours: 9-5, M-F

MBA degree preferred.

7 - 10 years of professional fee billing management experience or a combination of education and

experience may be considered.

Experience in an academic medical center environment preferred

Must have in depth knowledge of third party payor policies and procedures.

Excellent analytical and management skills required.

Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.

Ability to work successfully in matrix management structure required

Ability to multitask and work under deadline pressure required.
