Central Sterile Supply Tech:

* POSITION SUMMARY

* Central Service Technician is responsible for the processing and distribution of supplies and equipment to all nursing care units, surgical services and ancillary areas. Responsible for decontamination of equipment. Disassembles, cleans, assembles, and sterilizes instrumentation. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interact in professional manner with other departments within the hospital.

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

* High school graduate

* Graduate from an approved Central Supply Program preferred or equivalent experience

* Current sterile processing certification national or international

One year surgical or sterile processing experience required
