Warranty Analyst - HVAC at Daikin Applied in Plymouth, Minnesota

Job Description:

Summary:

Provide technical advice and trouble-shooting for warranty customers and service groups regarding the application and operation of our products. Support the Daikin Parts warranty process and interact with other business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead efforts to capture customer warranties and recover 'Warranty Dollars' for Daikin.

- Review warranty orders and assist with any technical trouble shouting for compliance with warranty coverage and terms.

- Respond to customer's inquiries regarding warranty coverage, terms, return policies, and ordering/returns/claims processes.

- Lead teams to review and improve existing warranty processes and work with warranty administrators from the business units to review and improve intra business warranty processes that will effectively reduce overall warranty costs to Daikin.

- Monitor Verification Report. Review and release orders for warranty replacement parts that comply with warranty administration guidelines.

- Maintain accuracy of warranty information in the system.

- Monitor Process Report for billing on a weekly basis. Initiate billing of non-returned warranty parts and credit for warranty replacement parts that were initially billed for, have been reclassified, returned, etc.

- College degree or Technical Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

- Five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Basic skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers by phone, e mail and other correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

- Microsoft word processing software and Excel spreadsheet software as well as Outlook and strong Internet skills. In addition the person should have familiarity with Order processing systems, Database software and Contact Management systems.
