Description
Hours:230pm to 11pm - rotating days, including some weekends & holidays
Essential Functions: Transports patients to and from departments safely. Transports patients from Recovery Room, Day Surgery, Pre and Post Op, Surgery and other patient areas as requested. Utilizes appropriate infection control precautions including appropriate hand hygiene, proper PPE, and follows isolation precautions to prevent infection. Greets all patients, families, and visitors professionally and courteously. Maintains communication between patients and the nursing supervisors or dispatchers to efficiently utilize time. Assists nurses, physicians and patient care technicians in the surgical environment in safely transporting patients. Utilizes appropriate communication tool. Communicates effectively to safely deliver patients and their belongings. Assists with other tasks as requested by staff. Performs various related tasks to support the effective transport operations of the hospital. Moves patients to and from wheel chair, cart, or bed using good body mechanics and providing

Qualifications
Qualifications: Required: - High school diploma or G.E.D. - Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions, read and write in English. - BLS.
