Bio-Rad Laboratories, a Global Leader in Life Science & Research Products is seeking an entry level Documentation Specialist to work with our Project Management team and assist in achieving the product cycle business goals, i.e. faster time to market in the transfer of new products from R&D engineering to Manufacturing team, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of initiative, active ownership and a desire to learn. A successful candidate would work on projects with the Project Manager and Technical lead and would be responsible for all documentation including Design Control documents as well as Design Output documents.
The candidate will also have excellent soft skills, communication etiquette (written, verbal and listening), and hard skills, proficient using Personal Computer, MS Office suite and able to learn new systems and tools, with the goal of continuous improvement of our internal business processes and design control documentation.
This opportunity will also provide future career paths into other business functions. eg. Project Management, Business Process Specialist, Quality Assurance (QA), R&D and Manufacturing Support.Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager with design control documentation and ensuring accuracy of product documentation.
- Track and drive workflows affiliated with release of materials, documents and changes in database. (SAP-PLM)
- Ensure high standard of data quality in SAP is consistent and adheres to in-house specifications and processes.
- Create and revise product documents, (specifications, literature & labeling) and materials in SAP-PLM database.
- Adhere to all company policies, SOP's, training and inter-departmental work instructions.
Qualifications
- Associates Science or AA Technical Degree in Biological Science or Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and customer focus.
- Must have strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to independentlysolve problems.
- Proficient PC skills; MS Office 365 , MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point.
- Proficient using cloud based applications; i.e.; Google and MicrosoftApplications.
- Preferable; Basic understanding of Version Controlled Objects Stored within Data Base Systems i.e; SAP-PLM.
- Preferable; experience in implementationof Product Support and/or New Product Development using a Controlled Data Base environment (SAP); i.e; interacting/input/data entry, uploading files/downloading files.
