Bio-Rad is seeking an experienced and motivated VP, GlobalTax to lead the company's global tax strategy, planning and operations. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a dynamic Finance professional with a background in Tax, as well as a broad set of financial and operational capabilities. This position will manage a team of tax professionals. Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position are:
- Global tax compliance, tax reporting, tax planning and management for the company.
- Provide leadership and expertise for all tax-related matters.
- Directs the planning, development, and implementation of global tax policies, programs, and practices which include strategic tax planning and preparation of tax analyses supporting quarterly tax provisions.
- SEC reporting and transfer pricing, and due diligence in tax compliance of potential new acquisitions.
- Significant oversight of the Company's business groups and subsidiaries and interaction with outside tax personnel including government auditors and/or independent public accountants.
- Works with senior management in planning the companys' operations to minimize taxes consistent with tax laws and regulations.
- Reviews business transactions and advises changes to achieve best tax results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or economics. CPA, preferred.JD, a plus.
- 15+ years of tax experience in large corporate environment, experience in global manufacturing preferred.
- Previous experience in leading a corporate tax department preferred.
- Expertise in financial and tax accounting.
- Expertise in global operations, cross border M&A, and internationaltax planning, and transfer pricing.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate tax law, US GAAP accounting principles, and SEC reporting requirements.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on execution.
- Excellent communications and collaboration skills.
