Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include interfacing with potential and current customers, submitting proposals, reviewing proposed terms and conditions, negotiating agreements, monitoring performance and closing out agreements. Applicant should have a keen interest in Government Contracts, deep familiarity with the DFAR/FAR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop recommendations to senior staff to support solutions to moderate to complex problems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Program teams and leadership to prepare and submit compliant proposals, to include reviewing content, pricing structure, IP assertions and risk management strategy
- Support negotiations for agreements of moderate complexity, such as commercial and government contracts or grants, evaluation agreements, and material transfer agreements
- Identify terms and conditions that deviate from company policy. Support senior CSPP and legal staff in developing and presenting risk mitigation approaches/recommendations to senior management
- Create and manage assigned agreements in the Draper system of record and other repositories
- Assist with the Contract Award Kickoff Presentation to be presented to key stakeholders
- Provide guidance on aspects of assigned agreements and grants to ensure conformance with agreement terms and company policy while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Monitor performance and collect documentation for the satisfaction of agreement requirements
- Complete invention disclosures, data rights assertions and other forms required by agreements
- Assist senior management with reporting data and compiling audit information as required
- Serve as the customer interface for assigned agreements during the full life-cycle of a program. Support senior staff in interfacing with customers on high-profile agreements
- Research issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Assist with special projects that require significant skill, knowledge, and business acumen
- Special assignments and cross-training (Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement, Property) is encouraged

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant Government Contracts experience; experience in an Intellectual Property-intensive environment (e.g., engineering/technology company, technology transfer office)
- Secret Clearance Required, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
- 3-5 years of DFARS and FAR experience and demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to contract administration
- Working knowledge and understanding of contract types
- Knowledge of both government and commercial contracting processes and considerations
- Able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to quickly understand processes and ensure adherence to the same
- Must be able to deploy a systematic approach to work, and must have an aptitude for performing work functions in a timely and well organized manner with limited oversight
- Must be able to support senior staff in executive-level meetings
- Must possess excellent problem solving and communication skills that can be deployed to collaborate effectively with different functional teams on a variety of topics
- Proficient in Excel and MS Word
- MA/MBA/JD preferred
- This position has the ability to potentially work remotely
