SQL Snowflake Developer

Requirement

10 years working as a database developer, database engineer or in a related role.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

5 -7 years of SQL expertise—you can write a query to do almost anything.

5 or more years of handling a database environment of more than 300GB, with strong data analysis and analytical skills.

SQL server administration experience, including knowing the basics of running Microsoft SQL Server — users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, and more.

Ability to create SQL reports.

Solid understanding of Oracle Database, knowledge of SQL Server Service Broker is a plus.

Database tuning experience, database integration design and implementation, and management of database projects.

Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment—you can address bugs with QA, plan schemas with engineering, and respond quickly to other business needs.

Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot potential issues, and experience with best practices around database operations.

ETL experience is a plus.

Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and make room for emergencies, as needed.

Minimum 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing a fully operational solution on Snowflake Data Warehouse

Solid understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies

Should be having good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to problem solve and able to convert the requirements to design

Ability to solving issues as and when arisen.

Ability to test the developed jobs and preparing test documents

Work Experience on optimizing the performance of the Spark jobs

 

Responsibilities

Designs and builds relational databases.

Supports, maintains and troubleshoots Oracle RAC environments.

Tunes and fixes database performances issues.

Provides expert level support with respect to database administration (backup/recovery, installation & patching, upgrades etc.)

Must be able to design, develop and manipulate database management systems, data warehouses and multidimensional databases.

Requires a depth and breadth of database knowledge that shall help with formal design of relational databases and provides insight into strategic data manipulation.

Must be able to review/interpret performance based reports. (AWR, ASH, ADDM, etc.)

Must be able to use cloud technologies in support of moving on premise databases into a public, private or hybrid cloud.

Must be able to clone, migrate databases as needed.

Must be able to work on windows and Linux servers in support of database administration activities.

Must be able to train/mentor other database administrators on database concepts.

Management/Administer Oracle RAC Environment (Required 10 Years)

Database Administration Versions (11g - 18c) (Required 10 Years)

Leading, training and mentoring database teams (Required 5 Years)

Cloud Database Migration (Required 2 Years)
