Cognizant Marketing Overview
Cognizant Marketing is expanding its Social Media team with the addition of a Manager, Social Media, Employee Advocacy to drive a social media activation program for Cognizant associates that includes tools, training, online resources, internal communications and external social media publishing to grow our brand worldwide.  You will join us as a remote employee from any location in the U.S. and work closely with our Global Director of Social Media.

Job Description

 

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing adoption of social media for professional purposes by Cognizant associates while helping to build awareness of social media policies, guidelines and best practices.

You will build awareness of the employee activation program through internal newsletters, meetings, trainings and presentations. This will also require you to stay current with the latest developments in employee advocacy and social media marketing.

You will serve as an articulate champion of professional engagement on social platforms while also understanding the value of governance and enabling technologies.

Additionally, you will measure the ROI of the program by leveraging data from multiple sources, while also maintaining partner relationships (e.g. employee advocacy software), and continuously improving internal documentation (e.g., FAQ, best practice guides, toolkits).

Responsibilities


  • Maintain and grow brand publisher program, communication, training and compliance.

  • Partner closely with our PR teams, Executive Communications and Social Media teams on critical content activations you will own.

  • Continue and build upon associate training programming to drive continued use and understanding, including working cross-functionally to deepen use by functional teams, e.g. sales.

  • Create and implement effective internal newsletter content and collateral—intended to drive action and activity by associates.

  • Maintain and enhance effective internal online resources hub, training materials—intended to drive compliance and best practice use by associates.

  • Measure and report on ROI weekly, monthly and quarterly.

  • Maintain and evolve employee advocacy software relationships and functionality for the brand.

  • Maintain and update program documentation.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 3+ years of experience in social media, digital media and brand marketing

  • Experience working in a professional services or technology industry environment

  • Expert knowledge of social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube

  • Knowledge of social media measurement and metrics

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment

  • Articulate and confident communicator with excellent writing skills

 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in Communication or MBA preferred

  • Experience working in a professional services or technology industry environment

  • Expert knowledge of enterprise social media software management systems

  • Expert knowledge of social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube

  • Knowledge of social media measurement and metrics

  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment

  • Articulate and confident communicator with excellent writing skills
