Position Description:
AMETEK Westchester Plastics is seeking a machine operator to join our team. This position is essential to maintaining smooth production operations. This role will oversee production equipment with essential duties including start up and operation of machinery. Ensure all machinery is running efficiently and producing a quality product.

• Perform Various duties to safely and efficiently operate machines
• Work from written and verbal instructions to manufacture final product per customers specifications
• Maintain quality standards
• Check and record production records
• Assist with other work as needed, tear downs, changeovers and cleaning of machine, equipment and work area
• Assist in maintaining a safe work environment
• Perform duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:
• Must be able to use logical thought processes to solve production and quality issues as they arise.
• Must be capable of documenting and completing all paper work required within the extrusion department legibly and accurately.
• Must be computer literate or have the ability to be trained to reach proficiency levels needed to look up job set-ups, die and mandrel set-ups, blend sheets etc.
• Be quality conscious, production oriented and able to work safely and effectively within established policies and practices.
