Plan, direct and coordinate the training and development activities for the facility/location.
Ensure applicable, consistent, and timely training of all manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and warehouse personnel.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct needs analysis to guide creation of new training and the modification or elimination of existing training. Ensure curriculum addresses needs of new and existing employees. Monitor, revise and add content as needed.
Partner with subject matter experts (SME) to create and update training materials such as presentations, worksheets, case studies, pre and post class quizzes.
Evaluate effectiveness of each training program; make appropriate changes to ensure quality programs are delivered.
Manage yearly training calendar to include coordination of outside resources, scheduling of appropriate venues, and ensuring timely notification of manufacturing workforce.
Coordinate with department leadership to ensure conflict free scheduling of SME's for in-house training efforts.
Ensure plant-wide skills and training matrix is kept up to date and available for review. Record all training hours.
Manage training vendor relationships, contracts and services.
Manage the plant training budget.
Deliver training programs/sessions as required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Instructional Design, or Training & Development.
Relevant Work Experience
At least 2 years of experience planning, coordinating and/or delivering training programs or activities.
Additional
Presentation experience to small- to mid-size groups representing varied levels within an organization.
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience with learning management system administration.
Experience evaluating information and/or process to determine department needs.
